I just finished binding my lap quilt called dot party. I bought the pattern for this quilt several months ago and finally got it out and worked on the quilting two weeks ago. I actually bought two along with a matching fat quarter for each pattern. Then, I mailed one of the patterns and fat quarters off to Emily. The goal was that we would each use that fat quarter and then any other fabric that we chose to finish one of the two circle size options of the pattern.
I added my feet in this one as I happened to have coordinating toe polish.
I chose the small circle. Hind sight is always 20/20. I think if I was to do this pattern again I would pick the larger circles. I think it would lend to more options with the quilting. I did a ditch for each square, stippling in the center of the pattern circles and stippling in the pattern around the white circles. It ended up being way more work than I would have liked for the results. Next time, an all over stipple for me.
For the back, I did a pieced variation of a giant log cabin block.
