I am the oldest sister and took my first
quilting class with my sister, Laura. I
never did finish that project, but have continued to enjoy sewing and
quilting. I started with making baby
quilts and have slowly transitioned into bigger projects. And with the help of an experienced quilter
and friend, I’ve learned so much. It’s
interesting to see how much my taste has changed over the years – in fabric and
in pattern styles. I’ve lived many
places, but currently reside in Vancouver, WA and love the Pacific Northwest -
rain and all! I am married and a
stay-at-home mom to two boys, and absolutely love my job.
I am the younger sister. I took my first class,
with Emily, at my local quilt shop in 2000 and promptly bought my machine. I
actually started quilting in 2004 when our bed spread needed repaired. I was
able to piece the top, but when it came time to get ready to quilt I had no
idea what to do. I met with a lady at my church and she started teaching me. I
have been sewing/quilting with a group of ladies once a week ever since. I
started with traditional quilting, but I am finding that my quilts are now
including a more modern flare. I am married with two daughters and live in
Boise, Idaho.
